Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin didn't follow the crowd. He didn't insist on a fancy lab. He had no assistants. And he didn't rush to publish. Most of all, Darwin was a personal scientist. He didn't need to leverage his intellect with an institution or fancy equipment. Anyone could have done the research he did … the zoo and the museum in London was all you needed. The main reason that Darwin is my hero is that he surfaced the truth. He found it, he described it and without useless embellishment, he set it free.
